Suriname was the overall winners of the second leg of the Inter-Guiana Games which came to an official close last night at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
Suriname gained a total of 43 points after grabbing first place finishes in chess, male and female volleyball, and male and female basketball.
They were second in the male and female cycling events.
Guyana was second with 35 points acquired from placing first in the male and female cycling events and second in basketball, male and female volleyball and chess. The home team was third in female basketball. French Guiana occupied the third and final spot in the second leg of the IGG with 27 points. They placed third in chess, male and female volleyball, male basketball and male cycling while finishing second and fourth in female basketball and female cycling respectively.
