Banks DIH Limited has donated a 20-foot container of Tropical Mist Water and Trisco Biscuits to the people of St Lucia who were severely affected by Hurricane Tomas. According to a press release Banks has joined other Coca Cola producers in the Caribbean in providing assistance to the island. The container was loaded at its complex located at Thirst Park and shipped to St Lucia on Tuesday.
Assistant Managing Director/Marketing Director George McDonald said all the members of Caribbean Coca Cola Bottlers Association have rallied to support St Lucia. The shipment is expected to be received by the Du Boulay Bottling Company, the Coca Cola bottlers in Castries.
Hurricane Tomas was reported to have killed over two dozen people and caused damage in excess of US$100 million to the island.
