Dear Editor,
Once again we see how the power of money can upset the scales of justice. In your daily SN recently you reported the incident of three security guards who were photographed after a beating allegedly by persons not named over a theft from their employer’s place.
Now we are told that they have accepted a monetary settlement and do not wish to proceed against the perpetrators. Too often this practice is used to stymie justice. This loophole must be plugged and I call on our legal brains for a solution.
