Dear Editor,
It is often said that the flesh of a good man grazes the dust of the earth for only a moment in time but his presence and legacy endure forever.
We are deeply saddened by Mr Winston Murray’s death. Mr Murray was someone we truly admired and respected. He was approachable, humble, and held steadfast to what he believed was right and just in the eyes of God and man. When we spoke with him, formally or informally, he always had kind words of encouragement and was truly a people’s leader. He wanted to do so much for his country but did not get the opportunity to fulfil his dreams of a better Guyana.
Goodbye our dear friend and colleague. We will always remember you. You were indeed magnanimous.
