The finals of the second annual Guinness Greatest of De Street Futsal Competition will be decided tonight when the two semi-final matches are contested at the National Park Tarmac.
At 8:30 pm Alexander Village will face Broad Street ‘B’ in the first match then West Front Road will challenge Albouystown ‘A’ at 9:30pm.
In the quarterfinals on Sunday night at the National Park Tarmac Albouystown ‘A’ needled Norton Street, West Front Road trounced Stevedore Housing Scheme 3 – 0, Broad Street ‘B’ got past Sophia 2 – 1 and Alexander Village comfortably defeated Laing Avenue 3 – 0.
In match one Devon Small scored the golden goal for Albouystown in the opening minutes.
Following that encounter the West Front Road team had National Nagaloo, Ola Pedro and Wendell Pedro scoring goals in the 13th, 14th and 17th minutes against the Stevedore Housing Scheme team that could not manage to draw blood.
In match three Johnny Gravesande led Broad Street into the semis with a brace he recorded in the 11th and 13th minutes while Sheik Kamal scored for Sophia in the final minute but it was a bit too late to be a threat.
Ending the night was the Alexander Village destruction of Laing Avenue where Shemroy Porter, Leon Yaw and Dwayne Daniels all scored a goal each to steamroll into the semi-final round.
