A Plaisance man accused by the police of having a quantity of cannabis in his possession was yesterday placed on $5,000 bail.
It is alleged that on December 2, at Georgetown, Sean Prince, of 17 Prince William Street Plaisance, had two grammes of cannabis in his possession.
Appearing before acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, Prince pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of narcotics.
The prosecution had no objection to the man being granted bail and the matter was transferred to Court Five for December, 13.
