Guyana judo team captures four medals in Barbados

Guyana’s two-man Judo team won four medals at the Barbados Independence International Judo tournament held on December 3-4 in Bridgetown.

Teenager Raul Lall, a member of the House of  Water Judo Club  won a gold medal in the individual Under 17 category and a bronze medal in the senior team competition, while Bruce Fraser, a member of the  Rising Sun Dojo won two bronze medals in the senior under 90 kg division.

Geoff Sankies, Vice President of Judo Association of Guyana (JAG) said he was elated at the team’s performance against stiff opposition
