National midfielder Shawn `Bubbly’ Beveney was on target for his club when the Trinidad an Tobago Digicel Pro League resumed Tuesday night after a two-week break for the Digicel Caribbean Cup Finals which ended in Martinique on Sunday.
At the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, Beveney, who played for Guyana in the DCC Finals, fired Caledonia into a 37th minute lead which it held until Oswin Williams drew FC South End level in the 70th minute.
Kemron Purcell then struck an 89th minute winner to push the club to third spot with 18 points, 13 behind runaway leaders Defence Force and four adrift of second placed team and defending champion bmobile Joe Public.
The strike was Beveney’s second in this year’s pro league and his first half item was crucial to his team’s narrow victory.
