UK wants to breathe new life into Commonwealth

(BBC) Britain wants to breathe new life into the Commonwealth, the 54-member grouping made up mostly of former British colonies.

Foreign office minister Lord Howell told BBC Caribbean that smaller nations could benefit from a re-invigorated Commonwealth.

“It’s a better platform than the United Nations, it’s is a platform in which the voices of the smaller nations are much more heard,” he said.
