(BBC) Preliminary hearings into a dual citizenship case against Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit brought by the opposition United Workers Party got underway in Roseau yesterday.
The UWP has in recent days been mounting a campaign to push Mr Skerrit into resigning, over his alleged breaching of the country’s electoral rules at the last election.
The opposition party says Mr Skerrit has since given up his French passport, a move they interpret as a sign of acknowledgement that he breached the country’s electoral rules.
