Businessman Paul Daby (Senior), was charged with illegal possession of fireworks at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court today.

Daby, of Lot 127 D’ Aguiar Park, Houston and Lot 41 West Ruimveldt H/Scheme, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry. He pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him.
It is alleged that on December 20 at Georgetown Daby had a quantity of explosive devices in his possession. The charge followed a fireworks display outside of Buddy’s night club on Sunday morning. Daby’s 50th birthday was being celebrated at the time.
The accused was released on $25, 000 bail and returns to court on January 7, 2011. Attorney Mark Waldron represented Daby.
