Canada concludes air transport pacts with Jamaica, T&T

(BBC) Canada has announced that it has concluded air transport liberalisation agreements with Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.

The new open skies-type agreements give airlines additional flexibility for route selection, frequency of service and price setting.

Canada already has a similar air deal with Barbados.

Canadian Transport Minister, Peter Van Loan, said Ottawa would like to carry the momentum of these latest agreements through to negotiations for a free trade agreement with Caricom.
