An argument between two men on Christmas Day at Konawaruk resulted in one being chopped to death, the police in a release said.
According to the release, miner Orin Francis, 24, of Lethem was murdered at around 16:00 hrs on Christmas Day.
Investigations revealed that Francis and a Brazilian were imbibing during which an argument developed between them and Francis was allegedly chopped to his left hand. He was taken to the Mahdia Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect has not yet been arrested.
