Following a break and enter, the Guyana Post Office Corporation’s Mahaica location was unable to make pension payments or conduct normal operations today, a statement from the corporation said.
The matter has since been reported to the police who are investigating.
The release said that normal operations at the Mahaica Post Office will re-convene tomorrow at 8 am.
“The Corporation expresses regret for any inconvenience caused and wishes to further assure the public that it remains committed to providing its usual services in an environment that is comfortable to both the public and its staff,” the statement said.
