MUMBAI, India, CMC – Inexperienced all-rounder Diana David has been named to captain an Indian Board President’s XI against the touring West Indies women later this month.
The 25-year-old David, who was picked in the India side for the international part of the tour, has played just six One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals since making her debut as a teenager six years ago.
She will be joined in the squad by senior team players Poonam Raut, Harmanpreet Kaur and Samantha Lobatto. The Board President’s XI will clash with the Windies women in a one-dayer at the MCA Recreation Centre here Saturday.
It will be the only game before West Indies take on India in five ODIs and three T20Is.
