Ansa McAl Trading celebrated with mothers of babies born on New Year’s Day by distributing a number of large ‘Cheekies Bundle of Joy’ gift hampers at hospitals around the country.
In a press release the company said the hampers contained 80 or more Cheekies Cloth Soft diapers, a Cheekies Growth Chart as well as a package of personal care items as a special token to the mothers.
At the Georgetown Hospital hampers were presented to 24-year-old Annette Boston, of Sophia, who gave birth to her second child, a boy born at 3.24am. Maceida Wakefield, 17, of West Ruimveldt who gave birth to her first baby, a girl, born at 4.25am; Shelly Winter, 37, of Kuru Kururu, who gave birth to her fifth child, a boy, at 7am; Delva Boston, 37, of Melanie Damishana, who gave birth to her third child, a boy, at 9am, Keisha Jones, 22, of Campbellville, who gave birth to twins: a boy and girl, at 9am and Kim Nedd, 35, of Charlestown, who gave birth to her first baby, a girl, at 9.56am.
At Medical Arts Hospital Donnette Griffith, 35, of Kitty gave birth to her fifth child, a girl, at 7.30am. In addition, at the Georgetown Medical Centre/Prashad Hospital Sabrina Ramkumar, 27, of Kitty, gave birth to her third child, a girl, at 7.30am. At Woodlands Hospital, Neela Umrao, 30, of Mon Repos, gave birth to her second child, a boy, at 4.40am and Radhika Khan, 22, of Meten-Meer-Zorg gave birth to her first child, a girl, at 8.45am.
Also, Patricia George, 33, from Black Bush Polder, gave birth to her sixth child a boy, at 3.48 am, at the New Amsterdam Hospital. At the Charity Hospital Shellona Singh, 18, of Westbury Essequibo coast, gave birth to her second child, a girl, at 12.05am, and, at the Suddie Hospital, Alex Jaggernauth, 29, of Lima, Essequibo Coast, gave birth to her third child, a girl at 8.09am.
In extending his congratulations to the New Year’s mothers, Ansa McAl Consumer Goods Manager Marco Kreuter said it was his and the company’s pleasure to support them as they “ushered in a new generation filled with hope and promise.” This year marks the twelfth anniversary of this annual tradition conducted at hospitals countrywide.
