Tigerwood Guyana Inc has filed a lawsuit against the company’s former Chief Financial Officer alleging mismanagement of millions of dollars in its operations and finances and seeking a series of remedies.
In a statement of claim in the Commercial Court, it was stated that Tigerwood Inc is owned by UK citizen Timothy Ashworth-Foster and lodged proceedings against Kadim Khan who also served as an Executive Director of the company. Khan’s company, Guysons Engineering Ltd. has also been named as a defendant in the matter.
The plaintiff is claiming from the two defendants jointly and severally damages in excess of $100,000 in relation to a sum of $141 million that was allegedly passed through the plaintiff’s accounts for the benefit of the second-named defendant.
The plaintiff is also seeking $41 million being property of the plaintiff, US$11,709 being the value of the plaintiff’s assets shipped to an address in the United Kingdom, damages in excess of $100,000 for alleged breach of director’s and/or officer’s duty, damages in excess of $100,000 for alleged breach of fiduciary duty to the plaintiff, damages in excess of $100,000 for alleged manipulation of the plaintiff’s accounts and an account of all the dealings of Kadim Khan with the plaintiff’s assets.
The hearing comes up early next month.
