(De Ware Tijd) — Frank Coelho suffered second degree burns on Saturday from croquettes that exploded in the hot oil. While he and his wife have their doubts about the quality of control on foodstuffs, Lesly Resida, director of the Public Health Bureau (BOG) says his institute can do little about this specific case but that everyone carries some responsibility. Both he and Fire Department spokesman Glenn Cooman think it possible the explosion resulted from hot oil mixing with water. The croquettes were purchased in a supermarket.
