Nelsion Nurse, the designer who stitched up a win as the most promising designer of Guyana Fashion Weekend last year was recently honoured along with his runners-up.
Nurse, Ryan Berkley and Travis Bowen were honoured at a simple ceremony early this week at the head office of Universal Janitorial Services.
CEO of Fashion Weekend, Sonia Noel reported that prizes were handed over to the young designers. Sonia noted that the three young men worked hard and had unveiled impressive collections during fashion weekend.
“It took us a little while, but we were finally able to show them our appreciation, this is the fashion weekend team and our sponsors,” Noel said.
Currently, all three designers are involv-ed on upcoming projects. However, Nurse and Berkley are working on Mash costumes for the upcoming celebrations.
Sonia disclosed that they’re also working on an upcoming production for her; a theatrical spectacular. She said the production was pushed back for a few months because other projects came up.
