Former first lady Joyce Hoyte was still a patient at the St Joseph Mercy up to news time last night with her diagnosis still unknown.
In a brief comment to this newspaper yesterday, family friend Ronald Austin said the widow of the late president Desmond Hoyte had been transferred to a private room at the institution and was being monitored. However, he said her ailment was still to be determined.
Hoyte, said to be in her late 70s, was on Tuesday transported by ambulance from her North Road, Bourda home to the hospital where a battery of tests were conducted.
