Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an 18-year-old Long Creek, Soesdyke/Linden Highway resident who was struck down along the highway on Sunday night.
According to the police, it is alleged that Eddie Williams was attempting to cross the highway at Long Creek when he was struck down by a motor car bearing registration PFF 6707. He was subsequently taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
he police said the driver of the car is in custody assisting with investigations.
