NEW YORK, (Reuters) – Amare Stoudemire scored 30 points and the New York Knicks pulled away in the closing stages to end a six-game losing steak with a 115-106 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday.
With the game tied at 95-95 in the fourth, New York scored six straight points then quickly pushed their lead to 11 on jump shots from Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler.
