The Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTY&SC) has congratulated Assad Fudadin on his appointment as captain of Guyana’s national cricket team for the West Indies Cricket Board’s (WICB) upcoming four-day tournament.
According to a release from the organization, Fudadin’s appointment is historic since he is the first club member to captain Guyana at the senior level.
“Since joining the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club in 1995 at the tender age of 10, Assad has always displayed outstanding leadership skills and over the years has been a positive role model to every youth member of our club. He has developed his leadership
ability by leading our Under-15, Under-17, Under-19 and First Division Teams and is well known to lead by example on and off the cricket field,” the release added. “On behalf of the Patron, President, Executive Committee and members of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, I extend congratulations to our club member Assad Fudadin on his appointment as captain of Guyana’s four-day cricket team. The appointment is well deserved based on his outstanding performance over the last two years during which he led Berbice to Inter-county 20/20, 50-Overs and Four-Day Titles.
“We are confident that the fortune of Guyana’s Cricket would change under Assad’s dynamic leadership and would like to urge him to remember the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club formula for success – hard work, commitment, faith in the God we serve, honesty and unity. That formula has never failed us and Assad was fully award of its impact on his cricketing career.
