The Ronald Waddell Commemorative Committee will host a live television programme this evening starting at 9:00pm on HBTV Channel 9 in observance of the 5th death anniversary of journalist and political activist Ronald Waddell who was killed in a barrage of gunfire in front of his Subryanville home on January 30, 2006.
The panelists will include leader of the PNCR and the Parliamentary Opposition, Robert Corbin and other leading social and political activists, a release from the Public Relations Department of the PNCR said.
Since his death the Ronald Waddell Commemorative Committee has been organizing events annually to ensure that his memory lives on in the minds of the people for whom he struggled most of his life, the release noted.
And tomorrow a symposium has been scheduled at Mocha Primary School, East Bank Demerara at 6:00pm
The general public is cordially invited to participate in the events, the release added.
