A man was on Friday ordered to pay a $10,000 fine or spend two weeks in prison, after he pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly behaviour.
It is alleged that on January 27, at Hinck Street, Ricky Gravesande behaved in a disorderly manner. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court One.
When asked by the magistrate if he was aware that he had acted in a disorderly manner, the accused responded, “Yes your worship, I used indecent language.”
Gravesande was then ordered to pay the fine or serve the two-week prison term.
