A 33-year old man of South Ruimveldt was yesterday admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) in a critical condition nursing stab wounds to the neck.
The man, 33-year-old Victor Alberts was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the GPH early yesterday morning. The man sustained three stab wounds to the left side of his neck.
It is unclear what were the circumstances which led to Albert’s injury but according to a hospital source the man was injured during a scuffle with other persons in the South Georgetown area early yesterday morning.
The injured man was said to be in a semi-conscious state yesterday afternoon but his condition was said to be stable.
