Ramcharran Narine and Linden Mc Coy blasted centuries when the Stag Beer and El Dorado Rum softball cricket competition continued at various venues over the weekend.
The tournament, which is organized by the Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA), was played Friday and Sunday nights at various venues around the country.
Narine blasted a splendid 108 to lead Trappers to a 46-run win over Ramblers at the Enterprise Ground while Mc Coy scored 113 for Shattaville against Parika Defenders at the Tuschen Ground in a losing cause as his team went under by a mere three runs.
In the match between Trappers and Ramblers Trappers batting first scored 174 all out in 15 overs with Narine, 108, and Adytia Bassant, 41, the principal scorers.
Ramblers, in reply, were dismissed for 128 with Rajiv Bisnauth, 30, the top scorer.
Bassant and Kenneth Williams captured three wickets each.
And Parika Defenders batting first score 225-8 off their allotted 15 overs with Robendra Seenarine, 88 and R. Beesham 55, the main contributors.
Shattaville in reply crashed to 222 all out with McCoy making 113 as Kenrick Persaud grabbed 5-9.
