A 33-year-old mother of two left her Tain, Corentyne home more than a month ago and has not been seen since.
The relatives of Farida Nohar said they are clueless as to the reason behind her disappearance and are pleading with her to return home.
Yesterday her distraught mother Basmattie Ramnarine explained that she last spoke to Nohar on December 22. Ramnarine said her daughter indicated to her that she would be travelling to Georgetown the following day to do her usual selling. That was the last time she saw daughter, the elderlywoman said. Ramnarine travelled from her Rose Hall Berbice home to look for her daughter but has so far come up empty handed. Searches were conducted from Springlands to Parika during the last few weeks. The police, she said, have also been notified of the disappearance.
Nohar, she said, lives with her husband Ravin and two children aged 12 and 13.
A relative told Stabroek News that the husband is insisting that they had no problem and he was clueless as to why she would leave the home.
Ramnarine said she did not live with her daughter but the woman did not give any indication that there was a problem at home. She said her daughter is a quiet person.
Yesterday the woman pleaded for help from the public in locating Nohar.
“She is needed at home… is somewhere she gotta deh”, she said.
