Thirteen fields of cannabis were discovered and destroyed by police at Hauraruni Creek, Linden/Soesdyke Highway yesterday.
During an operation in the area, a press release said, police found “13 cannabis fields, about 13.5 acres in size, with approximately 13,500 cannabis plants ranging between six and 10 feet in height and 20 nurseries with about 100,000 seedlings. In addition, 15 tarpaulin camps with 30 kilogrammes of dried marijuana were found.”
The marijuana plants, seedlings and dried marijuana were destroyed, police said, but no arrests have been made.
