A body was found at Marshall Falls, Mazaruni River yesterday and according to a senior police official “it seems to fit the description” of Kingsley Williams, who went missing after the boat that he was in sank in the river on Friday.
Williams, called ‘Ado,’ 34, of Parika, East Bank Essequibo was believed to have drowned after the boat he was in, which was transporting fuel, sank in rough waters on Friday afternoon.
Three other men were rescued but search teams failed to find Williams until the body was stumbled upon in water in the vicinity of the falls yesterday.
The body was due to be taken to the Bartica mortuary.
