Dear Editor,
I am the owner of a guest house which is located at lot 7 Maria’s Lodge, Essequibo Coast.
On September 11, four persons stayed at my guest house for four days and then left without paying their bills, which were a reasonable amount. These persons were known to me. I also made a note of their vehicle number.
A report was made to the Suddie Police Station which is about one hundred and fifty metres away from my guest house. The police promised to investigate, but after three months and regular checks with them I was still not paid.
So I decided to write the Commissioner of Police and Minister of Home Affairs stating my problem, and I am happy to say that within a short period of time, I was paid the full amount due to me. I am now saying thanks both to the Commissioner of Police and the Minister of Home Affairs.
Yours faithfully,
Whitmon George
