The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Ramdanie Rajpattie, 54 years of Laluni Creek, Demerara River, who succumbed at the GPHC yesterday.
Police say investigations so far revealed that Rajpattie was allegedly assaulted about her body with a cutlass by her reputed husband on January 05, 2011. She was admitted a patient at the GPHC and died yesterday.
The suspect has not yet been arrested.
