Several of the nation’s leading dominoes players are expected to compete in the Banks Premium Beer `Last Man Standing’ dominoes competition organized by Forever Youth Dominoes Club on February 23 (Mash Day) at Merriman’s Mall.
According to Coordinator Richard Mitterholzer, the tournament will bring together top players in what is expected to be a keenly-contested event.
Mitterholzer said the tournament is open to both male and female players who will compete against each other for a top prize of $75,000 with the second place finisher receiving $20,000 while third prize will be $10,000.
The tournament will be played opposite Georgetown Football Club (GFC) main gate on North Road.
The major sponsor of the event is local beverage giant Banks DIH whose Brand Manager Geoff Clement disclosed that the tournament is sponsored under the Premium Beer and Banks Light brands.
Double six time is 12:00 hours with over 50 players expected to be on show.
