Over 60 Chinese restaurant owners are expected to attend a special food safety seminar tomorrow at the Chinese Association, Brickdam, as part of a wider City Council programme to improve safety and enforce compliance with the food regulations in Georgetown.
The Mayor and City Council said in a press release that the objective of the seminar is to sensitise and enhance the knowledge of Chinese restaurant owners in Georgetown. According to the release, the seminar will focus on food storage, use of safe water and raw materials, separation of foods, personal hygiene, and regulations on restaurants and food establishments in the city. It will held at 10:00am.
