The body of a man identified as Henry Rose, 52, was this morning found dead in a drain along Fox Access Road, Wismar, Linden. No foul play is suspected.
Reports say that Rose is believed to be from the Corentyne and was employed with a local contractor. He was last seen at the Foxy Night Club at Wismar, approximately 100 yards from where his body was later found.
The body was clad in denim jeans and a grey jersey. It was found by a passerby lying face-down in the drain. It is suspected that he might have stumbled at the head of a culvert on the descent of the hill and fallen into the drain.
Police on the scene this morning found his cell phone and $200 in his pants pocket.
