Centuries from Ricky Deonarain and Tulshi Sahadeo enabled Floodlight XI to a 137 run win over Shattaville when the Stag Beer and El Dorado Rum softball competition continued at various venues on Wednesday.
Batting first,Floodlight XI racked up a record high 343 runs in the Over-40 category of the Stag Beer & El Dorado Rum Nationwide Softball Tournament.
Deonarain scored an unbeaten 120 and Tulshi Sahadeo 112 not out, the two featuring in an unbroken 220-run parthnership.
They were well supported by Richard Persaud 95.
Shattaville was restricted to 206 for 9 off 25 overs with Latchman Bharat topscoring with 88 not out.
Ramchand Ragbeer took 4-39.
There were eight centuries in the round. The other century makers were Jagdesh Persaud 108, Murphy Ramnauth 142, Mark Harold 111, Aftab Bacchus 102, Vivian Bissoon 102 and Ramo Malone 100.
