The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Level One Coaching and Accreditation programme organized by the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) got underway yesterday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The course, which ends on Wednesday are being conducted by ITTF approved Level One Course Instructor and former Caribbean and 11 times national champion Sydney Christophe.
Over 22 participants are participating in the course which is expected to bring the participants up to date with advanced methods of training including techniques and strategies for coaching players.
The programme is in keeping with the GTTA’s Strategic Plan which aims to have a nucleus of trained coaches to assist in the decentralizing of the sport.
