During a drug eradication operation at Waratilla Creek, Demerara River police discovered and destroyed more than 1000 cannabis plants.
In a press release issued last night police said that D Division (West Demerara/East Bank Essequibo) ranks found a field of about one and a half acres in size with approximately 1000 plants which ranged in height between two feet and seven feet. A nursery with seedlings and two camps with about 500 dried plants were also found, police said. No arrest has been made.
