Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) said yesterday that residents of the low coastal regions should implement precautionary measures, in the event of excessive rainfall and flooding.
GWI said in a press release that should the water supply be compromised due to flooding, persons must ensure that all tap water intended for food and drink preparation and personal consumption (brushing of teeth etc.) is boiled for 15 minutes.
