The Junior Chamber International Guyana (JCI Guyana) installed eight new board members recently with Nasoya Chapman being the 44th president.
In a statement, she informed that programmes, projects and training will be done this year to generate opportunities for personal and leadership development.
In a press release, Chapman said, “This year, we are entering a new era – one in which the course of the world is defined by citizens rather than nations. As globalization increases and the unilateral efforts of nations are unable to provide peace, young active citizens must take initiative to ensure that communities are developed and progress is made beyond national boundaries. The impact of one individual is a powerful force; the impact of many young, active citizens working in unison to create positive change is even stronger. By working together, we can amplify the effects of our projects and programs and raise the visibility of our organization, all while helping the world to be better.”
JCI is a worldwide association of young citizens on a mission to make available development opportunities that empower young people, like themselves, to create a positive change.
