Two students of Vryman’s Erven Secondary School, in New Amsterdam, who are alleged to have indecently assaulted an 18-year-old woman, were placed on $30,000 bail after they denied the charge at the New Amsterdam Court yesterday.
Police said on December 3, last year, at 9:15pm, the virtual complainant was at her home in Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, when she heard someone call her name. On looking outside, she saw one of the students, who was standing on her stairway. After a brief conversation, they were joined by the other teen, who held the woman’s hand while the other allegedly assaulted her.
The teens, whose mothers accompanied them to court, were granted bail by the court and the case was adjourned to April 8.
