A mother of two died early this morning after she stabbed by her live-in lover during a struggle at the Red Dragon night club.
Dead is Stacey James, age 25 years, of Rasville Housing Scheme. She suffered one wound to the abdomen and died while receiving treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Her assailant, a 19-year-old female is in police custody. The two women shared a long-term relationship which relatives described as “rocky”. The 19 year-old worked in the interior and only returned to the city on Friday.
Reports are that the incident occurred around 3 am this morning when another woman in the club showed an interest in the 19 year-old. Relatives of the 19 year-old said yesterday that she endured years of abuse at the hands of the older woman, but the two were inseparable.
