West Indies may promote Pollard, play Miller

NEW DELHI, (Reuters) – Struggling to cope with Dwayne  Bravo’s absence, West Indies are planning to promote Kieron  Pollard up the batting order and draft in spinner Nikita Miller  for Monday’s World Cup Group B match against the Netherlands.

Granger to lead PNC to polls

Former army chief Brigadier (retired) David Granger was last evening declared the PNCR’s presidential candidate at a Special Congress in a process bereft of the problems which have dogged previous internal party elections.

Guyana tops list of emigration countries

The Ramphal Commission on Migration and Development, which met at the University of the West Indies (UWI) last week, heard that seven of the ten top emigration countries in the world are in the Caribbean, and Guyana tops the list with 89%, providing highly trained people to the developed countries, Africa and Caribbean neighbours.
