Dear Editor,
We wish to thank Dr K Mangal for highlighting that the Kurupukari pontoon service does not routinely operate as advertised, that is, every hour from 6am to 6pm. We wish to assure Dr Mangal, and all road travellers, that any deviation from the schedule is not company policy nor is it approved by management or owners. The policy is to provide 13 hourly crossings per day, 365 days per year, with no exceptions even on Sundays and national holidays. Anyone who deviates from the policy will be sanctioned.
Every effort will be made to provide an hourly service as advertised.
