Yesterday, Grace Kennedy again performed their mandatory task of supporting youth and sport when they held a simple ceremony where they supported the East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) and Gittens Promotions and Next Level Event.
Grace Kennedy contributed a quantity of footballs and trophies to the EDFA for the staging of their Under – 15 tournament which is currently in progress while Gittens Promotions received an undisclosed sum of cash to help in the hosting of the seventh one – day countrywide Domino Tournament.
Marketing Manager of Grace Kennedy, Nateeah King, during the handover, said that the company was always happy to fulfill its mandatory task which is to support youth and sport throughout the country and this, she declared, was just another example of their dedication.
She urged their customers to keep supporting Grace Kennedy since it is with the public’s support they are able to give back to the community.
President of the EDFA, Aubrey Hutson, and Lyall Gittens, boss of the Gittens and Next Level Promotion, both thanked the sponsor for the contribution.
Hutson stated that the EDFA has been progressing very well. They are currently are trying to coincide their under-15, under-19 and senior tournaments with the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Tournaments to get the best results.
Meanwhile, the Gittens and Next Level event gets underway on March 26 at the National Gymnasium.
Meanwhile, the TNT Domino club hosted a six-team Winner Take All Competition which is scheduled for once a month at Intersection Domino Club on Durban and Camp Street. The TNT team won the first round of the competition in February and nabbed the top prize which amounts to some $60,000.
