Sophia resident Lawrence Martindale was stabbed to death early this morning at Port Kaituma.
Several hours after the incident police managed to arrest the suspect. The man is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
Reports are that at about 3am Lawrence was making his way back to his place of lodging when he was attacked. The suspect, this newspaper understands, stabbed Lawrence several times and relieved him of a quantity of cash and other valuables.
Martindale, relatives said, would normally travel to the interior location in search of work. On this particular trip he was selling fish in the area.
