Man chopped off another’s wrist over past grievance – court told

A man was yesterday remanded to prison after appearing at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on a charge of unlawful assault.

It is alleged that on March 5 in Georgetown, Glenrick Blair unlawfully and maliciously wounded Jaipaul Surujpaul with intent to maim, disfigure, or cause him grievous bodily harm. Immediately after the charge was read to him the defendant pleaded guilty.
