A taxi driver is dead after the vehicle he was driving collided with another in the vicinity of the Conference Centre, Liliendaal late last night.
Dead is Cecil Gilkes called Jim Calender of Agricola, Greater Georgetown.
According to reports, Gilkes was driving along the roadway when his car collided with a taxi driven by Rabindra Sukram of Thomas Street, Kitty just after 11 pm. It is unclear what caused the collision.
Gilkes died before reaching the Georgetown Hospital while Sukram has been admitted a patient of the same institution. His condition is listed as stable.
