The body of a woman with what appeared to be a wound to the throat was this morning discovered in a trench in D’ Field, Tukeyen.
According to residents in the area the body was clad in a green top, black skirt and black slippers when it was found at around 6 am.
It is not clear who discovered the body as according to some women the “persons who find the body run away” and they surmised that they may have left to alert ranks at the Turkeyen Police station which is located on the same road. The residents said that no one recognized the woman and they suggested that the woman was killed elsewhere and the body dumped at the location. No one in the area reported hearing anything suspicious.
“All I want to say is that they staining D Field because is not somebody from here and she get kill somewhere else and dem bring the body here,” a woman said.
The unidentified body is lying at the Lyken Funeral Home.
