The IDB launched its first TV series featuring reports on its annual meeting themes and “development impact stories with a human angle.”
In a press release the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) said its Audiovisual Communications Unit launched the Cronicas de Cambio series on Tuesday and the first programme featured an exclusive interview with IDB President Luis Alberto Moreno. Moreno outlined his vision for Latin America and the Caribbean in the next decade. The programme also featured reports on sustainable urban development, youth employment, private sector participation in renewable energy development and banking for poorest segment of the population.
The complete series comprising 12 magazine-style programmes will be available for broadcast on television channels in May. Each 30-minute programme includes reports produced in different countries of the region as well as an in-depth interview with a person recognised for work in social, cultural or economic change.
The reports describe experiences in key development areas such as education, health, climate change mitigation and private sector development.
Along with presenters Indira Murillo and Paco Aguayo the Cronicas de Cambio team includes veteran television journalists with extensive experience in the production of reports and documentaries with social content. It also features coverage by correspondents and contributors in 26 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
